في محاولة رصد القضايا الخاصة بالمرأة المسلمة، والتي تناولها الفكر الليبرالي العربي المعاصر، ولذا كان البحث منصباً على موقف أصحاب الفكر الليبرالي العربي دون موقف الفكر الليبرالي الغربي، وبالتحديد العربي المعاصر الذي أحدده بمنتصف القرن الرابع عشر الهجري والموافق لنهاية القرن العشرين الميلادي وإلى الوقت الحاضر، مع التركيز على القضايا الخاصة بالمرأة دون غيرها، والتي تعرض لها الفكر الليبرالي العربي المعاصر. كما تهدف الدراسة إلى رصد المحكمات الشرعية في قضايا المرأة، وبيان وجه ارتباطها بالعقيدة، وتحديد بداية الانحراف في قضايا المرأة المسلمة في الفكر الليبرالي العربي المعاصر وتطورها، والوقوف على قضايا المرأة المسلمة التي تعرض لها الفكر الليبرالي المعاصر، والرد عليها رداً يمثل النقد الهادف والحوار البناء، وكشف مفاسد وأخطار هذا الفكر فيما يتعلق بقضايا المرأة المسلمة وطرح وسائل لمقاومته وسد الفراغ الذي ينفذ من خلاله أمثال هذا الفكر.
