إن أول ما دعا إليه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم تركُ الكفرِ والإشراك والإيمانُ بالله تعالى عَلَى ما يليق به والإيمانُ به صلى الله عليه وسلم فكان يأمرُ العربَ المشركين حين يجتمعونَ من نواحٍ شتى للحجّ أن يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله وأنه رسول الله وذلك قبل أن يُعلّمَهم أمورَ الصلاة ويأمرَهم بالوضوء لها، فتبعَهُ على ذلك صحبُه الأطهارُ وأتباعُهُم الأخيار.
فكانَ علمُ التوحيد أهمَّ العلوم تحصيلاً ومعتنى العلماء تلقيناً للصغار، ولقد جَهدنا في التفتيش عن رسالة في التوحيد تكون سهلةَ العبارة مفهومةَ الألفاظِ للصغارِ والكبارِ العوامّ منهم وغيرهم، حتى وَجَدْنا رسالةً لعالم جليل طرابلسي هو الفقيهُ المحدثُ أبو المحاسن القاوقجي تفي بالغرض والموضوع، لذلك عملنا على الإعتناءِ بطبعها وَنَشْرِها بينَ المسلمين.
