هذه ترجمة محررة، محبرة تكشف عن حال العلامة المتفنن الأصولي الشيخ عبد القادر بن بدران الدمشقي أحد علماء القرن الرابع عشر الهجري الذين تركوا آثاراً تدل عليهم، فقد كان من العلماء الأجلاء الذين أخذوا من العلم بحظ وافر وفضل سافر، إلا أنه قد أوذي من أبناء زمانه ولم يعرفوا قدره ومكانته، ولكنه صمد أمامهم صمود الجبل الشامخ، ورماهم برماح العلم والحجة والبرهان، فبقي علمه وذاع صيته وفضله، وتقدم على أقرانه وأبناء زمانه، ولم يضره كثرة حساده وأعدائه، وقد ألف المؤلفات النافعة في الحديث والفقه وأصوله والتاريخ إلى غير ذلك من الفنون الأخرى في علوم شتى.
