وردت في القرآن الكريم آيات عديدة تؤكّد أنّه نزّله الله مصدقاً لما بين يديه، فيتّضح من هذه الآيات أن القرآن الكريم يصل وحيه بالوحي النبويّ الذي جاء قبله في أجيال البشر ذاكراً من الآثار النبويّة السابقة خصوصاً توراة موسى وإنجيل يسوع المسيح عيسى ابن مريم، فيكون وحيه قد جاء في سياق هذه الكتب المقدّسة، فينتمي إلى وحيها ويصدّقه بالحقّ من جهة، ويهيمن عليه من جهة أخرى (راجع: المائدة 5: 48) عندما يفصّل الوحي من كلّ نواحيه (يونس 10: 37؛ يوسف 12: 111).
من هنا، يصحّ أن نبحث في مقابلة بين نصّ القرآن الكريم ومحتوى الكتاب المقدّس في عهديه القديم والجديد، عن مواضع هذا التصديق.
