بعد تصفحي لكتاب الأرض الطيبة، وتتبعي خفايا ما بين السطور وترصّدي زهر المعاني التي تجوب آفاق نفسه، وجدتني أمام كاتب تعملق فيه إنسانه لثلاثة؛ أولها حب القرية مسقط الرأس، وثانيها عشق الوطن سليماً معافى، أما ثالثها فذلك البعد الإنساني النبيل.
فؤاد عبدالله كفروني عشق قريته حتى الثمالة؛ إنه يحفظ ملامحها المقروءة والمسموعة. كيف لا، وهو يتتبع مسيرة حياتها بكل التفاصيل الصغيرة والكبيرة، مصرّاً على ألا يفوته حدث من أحداثها بدءاً من نهايات الحرب العالمية الأولى وحتى اللحظة، لكن المحطة الأهم في حياة تل عباس كانت ما عانته هذه القرية الوادعة أثناء الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية التي انطلقت شرارتها في الثالث عشر من نيسان عام 1975...
يريد فؤاد كفروني أن يقول من خلال سرده لأحداث تلك المرحلة المؤلمة إنه علينا أن نبحث عن أنفسنا في المحبة لا في الكره، في التسامح لا في التعصب، في التواصل لا الانقطاع وإلا تحول كل منا إلى عبء على الحياة.
في عشقه لتل عباس تسطع شمس أصالته، وفي تعبّده للوطن يشمخ إيمانه بلبنان، وفي انتمائه لعروبته وعي وثقافة وحضارة، وعندما يذوب فؤاد كفروني في الإنسان أينما كان يجد ذاته النقية الصافية تنصت إلى كلمات عيسى على شفاه محمد وتغضي لطيف محمد بين أجفان المسيح.
