هو شاعر يغالب الحزن بالشعر، والحلم بالألم، في سعي حثيث للقبض على اللحظة الشعورية، تلك اللحظة وحدسها المتقد تنجلي عند "عبد الله محمد صالح باشراحيل" في ديوانه المتقد "عصر الشعوب" يكتب فيه القصيدة التي تنبش العالم بيتاً بيتاً، وزقاق وراء زقاق باحثاً عن الإنسان في نسخته العربية الذي لا يرتضي الذل، والحر الذي يأبى حياة ملَها حتى اللعبيد يقول في مفتتح القصيدة الموسومة بـ (عصر الشعوب): ليل الشعوب توارى وانجلى السهد، يا شعبنا الحر أنت الفخر والمجد/ هذا كفاحك تستهدي به أمم، أمضها النير فاستقوى بها الحشد/ (...)/ إما الكرامة تسمو في مواطننا، أو نقتري الموت فهو العز والسعد/ لا يرتضي الذل عقل زانه رشد، والحرَ يأبي حياة ملًها العبد(...)".
ومن هذه القصيدة تنفتح الذائقة الشعرية على مستويات متعددة من الحيرة واليقين والشك والوحدة الساخرة والمفارقة الحسية كل تلك الثيمات نجد لها ترجمة في قصائد باشراحيل المدونة هنا بعناوين تمتد على صفحات الديوان نذكر منها: "جنون"، "إباء"، "حامد"، "لمن تسهر"، "ألوان الحقد"، "خاطرة"، انباء قابيل وهابيل"...الخ.
