في "وشم على كتف البنفسج" تبدو غواية اللغة هي المولدة لمغامرة الكتاب عند "سحر العبندي"، تندفع من خلالها الى تلمس ما تراه، مشدودة الى شغف ما تكشفه هذه اللغة من أسرار ومتاهات، إذ تبدو لغتها الشعرية، مهووسة بالكشف عن كل بطولات الذات "أزق البنفسج، أمتهن الرقص وأفتح القميص على أول غواية للسطر.. كعطر أحمل بعضي المعلب في زجاجة رشيقة، وبعض مخبئ في وشم على كتف يرسم ابتسامة الربيع على صمت شفة النهر..".
وفي هذا الديوان تتلمس الشاعرة معان الطبيعة (الأفق، الرعد، الغيوم، الشمس، الريح....". جميع هذه المعاني يحتويها قاموسها الشعري في عالم يمور بالتكرار والتشابه، فبدت قصائد الديوان تكشف عن موهبة وغزارة، مثلما تكشف عن وعي متجاوز بتقنية الكتابة.
عن آخر وشم تقول الشاعرة: وأي الغياب الذي بينك الآن بيني يعرج فيَّ، لشرفة روحي، لأدغال عيني على جذع خدي، على طلِّ ثغري يجوب بوجهي ودمعي الشجي عصي يهز الغمام وأنت تنط، عن الحب تنأى، تخط الغياب ولست بعائد! (...).
يضم الديوان اثنتان وعشرون مقطعاً نثرياً نذكر من عناوينه: "ما انسل من شفة الوجه، حلم أرجواني، ليس ثمة إنكسار، قبلتان على جيد الصبح"، "آدم بطينة الخواء"... الخ
