هذا الكتاب هو معجم للغة التركية وهو يعتمد على الترتيب الأبجدي للأحرف التركية, ويوجد في بداية هذا القاموس اختصارات, ثم يوجد عرض لـ الألفباء التركية وأمثلة على اللفظ للأحرف, ثم يليه المعجم على الترتيب الأبجدي, وفي الختام المراجع.
الدكتور محمود عامر ولد سنة 1945م درس في مدرسة قرية قرقفتي تخرج من قسم التاريخ من جامعة دمشق حاصل على شهادة الدكتوراة من تركيا جامعة استنبول, اهتم بالتاريخ العثماني ولا سيما الاجتماعي والاقتصادي يعمل حالياً ضمن هيئة قسم التاريخ كلية الآداب, يدرس اللغة العثمانية والتاريخ العثماني له عدة مؤلفات من أهمها: تاريخ العرب الحديث والمعاصر, تاريخ المغرب الحديث, تاريخ ليبيا الحديث والمعاصر, تاريخ المغرب المعاصر, الأتراك العثمانيون في افريقية الشمالية الماسونية ويهود الدونمة, تاريخ الدولة العثمانية تاريخ ووثائق.
