"خطوة خطوة" كتاب لتعليم اللغة العربية، في صفوف الروضة الأولى، وهو يهدف إلى استخدام هذه اللغة لغة تواصل وتعبير، وقد جاء الكتاب في ثلاثة أقسام: أولاً: القصص (في ثلاثة أجزاء)، ثانياً: كتاب التلميذ (في ثلاثة أجزاء)، ثالثاً: كتاب المعلم. وقد قام الكتاب على تطبيق نظرية الذكاء المتعدد والتي تشدد على مقاربة المتعلم عبر نواح مختلفة تمثل أوجه الذكاء عنده، الأمر الذي يسمح الفرصة أمام المتعلم ليستوعب المهارات المطلوبة بما يتلاءم مع طريقته في فهم الأمور وتناولها.
والكتاب الذي بين يدينا هو كتاب المعلم وهو يختلف عما اعتمد في كتب المعلمين، إذ لا يوجد فيه حلول لأسئلة مطروحة في كتاب المتعلم كما جرت العادة، بل يوجد فيه ما تحتاج المعلمة وخصوصاً معلمة اللغة العربية إليه، أهداف الدرس: يستهل كل درس بتفصيل أهدافه، والمهارات إلي يدرب عليها. الاستراتيجيات وفيه تفصيل وشرح لكيفية تطبيق كل نشاط في أنشطة المتعلم. من هنا يمكن اعتبار كتاب المعلم تحضيراً ناجزاً للدروس والمحاور، الأمر الذي يشكل مساعدة حقيقية للمعلمة واختصاراً من وقت عملها التحضيري.
