نجيب الريحاني وليلى مراد في "غزل البنات" 1949... فقبل سنة 1932، لم تكن ثمّة سينما غنائيّة عربيّة، وبعد سنة 1960، ليس في حوزتنا ثبت بالأفلام الغنائيّة التي ظهرت منذئذٍ، وفي أيّ حالّ، ليست أفلام ما بعد سنة 1960 الغنائيّة عظيمة الأثر في تطوّر الأنواع والأشكال الغنائيّة، أو في تطوّر أساليب التعبير والتصوير والتمثيل الموسيقيّ.
وفي رأيي لن يدخل منها التاريخ، سوى بعض أفلام عبد الحليم حافظ وفيروز وصباح، التي ظهرت بعد سنة 1960، وهي على العموم قليلة، إضافة إلى أنها ظهرت، بعدما كان جلّ التطوير الموسيقي قد حدث، من تطوير في أنواع التلحين وأشكاله، أو في أساليب التعبير الدراميّ والتصوير الموسيقيّ، أو في التوزيع الأوركستاليّ.
