الإغتراب عن الذات وعن الواقع هو ما تقوله نصوص الشاعر ماجد إبراهيم في كتابه "اختفاء" يتمظهر ذلك من خلال وحدات شعرية سيرية جازت على شعريتها من خلال شفرات مضاعفة في اللاوعي الشخصي للذات الشاعرة وملفوظاتها. انسلت في صيغ إدهاشية تتمركز حول هلوسات الأنا، أنا الشاعر وسط واقع مرير، نقرأ له: "... منحتني الدنيا ظلاماً كاذباً!/ هذا المساء زائف../ كـ قطعةٍ من صباحٍ باهتٍ لم يأت!/ القمر ينظر للأرض.. باشمئزاز!/ وتجمة حزينة.. انطفأ نورها../ تودَ لو تضيئ../ لكن سواداً ساحقاً على جبينها../ يمنعها!/ سواد كأنه روحي إذ كتبت: هذا المساء زائف../ كقطعةٍ من صباحٍ باهتٍ لم يكتمل!(...)".
