باللغة الشعرية العامية القريبة من الناس ومن تعابيرهم ومشاعرهم وهمومهم، يقدّم الشاعر هذا الديوان المقسّم إلى ثلاثة أقسام: منوّعات شعرية، وحلقة حوار، ورسائل مع الشعراء.
المواضيع التي تهم الشاعر عديدة، ومنوعاته غنية، ينهل من سحر الطبيعة القروية وفصولها ويعبر عن طريقة الحياة فيها، فمن قصيدة وجاق وشتي: "معرّم بصدر البيت والدنيي شتي مش فارقة عندو شو بره عم يصير"، "وسنديانة تغنج للحن الهوا والريح غب بعبها ما عاد راق"، ومن مشوار حبة قمح :"غمضت عيني ونمت كل الشتي ما قمت دافي بحضن أمي غارق بحلم الصمت" و"ويبعد معي المشوارع شوار هالوادي هونيك جوز حجار بتضلها تنادي ". يعبر الشاعر عن مشاعره تجاه أمه وتجاه بيته العتيق وذكرياته: "مطرح لبلش ينتهي النسيان رجعتي تعيشي بخاطري الجيعان"، كما عن كل ما يعيشه ويمسك به من أحاسيس تجاه الأشياء والأشخاص وتجاه المرأة التي يتوخاها حالة عشقية: "قلتلك... لا تحاكيني خلّيني عليكي مشتاق حاكيتيني؟ حرمتيني لهفة حبّي والأشواق".
محاورات شعرية عديدة يجريها الشاعر على لسان كائنات مختلفة، فثمة حوار بين العنزة والتيس، وبين الكتاب والتلميذ، وبين الليل والحرامي، وبين رأس البطاطا والتفاحة، وينتقل في فصل خاص إلى محاوراته الشعرية مع الشاعر نقولا فاخوري، وينهي ديوانه بعرض الرسائل الشعرية المتبادلة بينه وبين الشاعر جوزيف الهبر، ويقول في إحدى رسائله: "القصيدة خصرها بشالي تزنّر صبغ لونو بصبغة ارجواني إلي بتبوح عن شاعر لقّصر بحقاً... ولعطا حقا التهاني ويكشف عن مدى حبه للشعر: "لو كان فيي يا بشارة شيّد للشعر قصر مشرّع بوابي.
ديوان شعري عامي يعزز هذا النوع من الشعر العفوي والمركّز، الذي يخرج موزونا بتعابير قريبة من الواقع بكل تفاصيل ملذاته وأفراحه وبكل ما يشكل أطراف معاناته، فيعيد الإحساس بجمال البساطة الطبيعية، وجمال التعبير الخالص المتفلت من تعقيداته، خارجاً على سجيته طازجاً من فرن طبيعته الفطرية الواقعية.
