أحمد راشد ثاني (مواليد حي المديفي، خورفكان عام 1962م ـ توفي في أبو ظبي يوم 20 فبراير 2012م)، هو شاعر وباحث تراثي وكاتب مسرحي إماراتي.
سيرته
ولد أحمد راشد ثاني في حي المديفي في خورفكان بإمارة الشارقة سنة 1962، (أو 1963 حسب مصادر أخرى) وكان أبوه يعمل في البحر، فأهداه في صغره كتبًا تراثية كان لها أثر كبير على ثقافته. بدأ كتابة الشعر في سبعينيات القرن العشرين، بتشجيع من الشاعر السوري محمد الماغوط، الذي كان يعمل آنذاك في الشارقة.
كتب ثاني قصيدة النثر، كما اهتم بجمع التراث الشفاهي وتدوينه، وكان يرى أن منطقة الجزيرة العربية تطفو على كنز من التراث الشفاهي. وقد عمل ثاني في المجمع الثقافي في أبوظبي.
نُشرت أشعار ثاني في عدة صحف ومجلات في الإمارات وخارجها، وشارك في محافل ومهرجانات شعرية وأدبية عربية وعالمية.
مؤلفاته
وضع أحمد راشد ثاني 17 كتابًا، بين الشعر (8 مجموعات شعرية) والمسرح والدراسات التراثية.

هذا الكتاب توثيق صرف، أي أنه يجمع كل ما كتب عن شعر ابن ظاهر وحياته تقريباً. أما الفصل الأول فيضم قصائد الشعر المعثور عليها، محققة على المخطوطات والمصادر المتوفرة، مرتبة على وفق أقدم المراجع، مقدمة بما قيل عن كل قصيدة على حدة، ثم بعد ذلك تجيء الأبيات. مكتوبة على وفق النطق الفصيح قدر الإمكان.
أما الفصل الثاني فيعتمد-هو الآخر-على شقين، فهو يضم "الروايات الشعبية" أو ما سميت "سيرة ابن ظاهر" مسجلة حسبما نطقت بالعامية "الإماراتية" في الصفحة على اليمين، أما في الصفحة على اليسار، فهناك تعقيبات على هذه الروايات، ورواية برواية، على وفق ترتيبها في الفصل، كذلك فإن التعقيبات مذيلة هي الأخرى بهوامش من اقتباسات واستشهادات مطولة تضمها المصادر المكتوبة سواء أكان عن حياة الشاعر أم مرحلته التاريخية أم "سيرته الشعبية" إننا في هذين الفصلين، أمام "نصين أدبيين" مختلفين، نص قصائد ابن ظاهر، ونص الحكايات التي تدور حوله باعتباره بطل شعبي، وفي كلا النصين ثمة توثيق لجانب من أدب هذه المنطقة النبطي والشعبي.
