أفلاطون في الفلاسفة الذين نحب العودة إليهم، لأن حواراته غنية كالحياة، وهي أيضاً متنوعة ونكتشف دائماً أشياء جديدة فيها، لأنها سعي أساسي وراء الحقيقة من خلال حوار، يسمح لنا أن نكتشف أن الطريق إلى الحقيقة شاقة من خلال توجهات المحاورين المختلفة.
وطبيعة أسلوب الحوار هي التي تجعل فلسفة أفلاطون لا تمريناً عقلياً أو نظام مفاهيم مغلقاً، بل مسيرة نحو الحقيقة تقوم بها النفس كلها. ولا بد من مثل هذه المسيرة ومن المعاناة التي تلازمها، حتى نبلغ حركة هذه الفلسفة الداخلية.
وهذه الحركة تتجلى بتطور فكره منذ الحوارات السقراطية، التي تميزت بنقد السفسطائيين وتحديد الأسئلة، التي تطرح كنتيجة للحوار، دون أن نجد جواباً عليها والحوارات المتوسطة التي يعتمد عليها الدكتور حميد موراني في بحثه الذي تضمه صفحات "مدخل إلى فلسفة أفلاطون" تبرز نظرية المثل ودورها في كل الجوانب المعالجة، كالنفس المعروفة بالحوارات الميتافيزيقية، فهي تقدم نظاماً مترابطاً حول المثل والعلاقات فيما بينها وبالنسبة إلى العالم والإنسان والمجتمع.
والحركة تبرز في كل حوار، لأن البحث يتم بين متحاورين، بمختلف وجهات نظرهم، ونكتشف أن الحقيقة التي انتهى إلى الحوار ليست حقيقة مجردة بل هي نتيجة جهد مشترك يوجهه أفلاطون ليعبر عن عملية جامعة لكل وجهات النظر.
