"لو استطاعت الشمس أن تأخذ مكانها في قلبي، لفتحت يدي المتلألئة، وأنرْت غرفتي المعتمة، لأسكب كأساً من ضوءٍ على المدينة، نازع أنازع؛ إني أعلن السلم، كما اعلان حبٍ، عندما ترتجف الفتاة".
"بدءاً من. أو. ربما." هو نثر شعري بسمة أسلوب جديد، أسلوب صدامي. ومنذ الأسطر الأولى لهذه المجموعات تتجلى مسألة الكتابة وهمومها. وعلى غرار بعض روائيي الحداثة "صباح زوين" تعمل على إفناء الكتابة، على الرغم من إصرارها، من ناحية أخرى، على التطابق مع الكلمة. ومن خلال أسئلتها المختلفة، تطرح الشاعرة مسائل الوجود الجوهرية.
هذه السلسلة الطويلة من القصائد هي بمثابة برقيات هلوسة-في أبيات أحياناً مختصرة وغير مكتملة-يمكن قراءتها على عدة مستويات. "بدءاً من. أو. ربما." تدخلنا إلى عالم من الحب والكراهية، الفرح والألم، الانتساب وعدم التملك، الرغبة والاشمئزاز، متنافرة ومتطابقة كلها باستمرار.
إن هذه المجموعة، بتيميتها البارزوكية وفكاهتها السوداء وحضورها الجسدي، هي غريبة وجذابة في آن. تجدر الإشارة أن هذه المجموعة الأربعة التي يضمها هذا الكتاب كتبت أصلاً بالفرنسية ولكن المؤلفة قررت نقلها لرغبتها العميقة في أن تكون ضمن لغتها الأصلية والطبيعية وليس جزءاً هامشياً من لغة قادمة من الكتب.
