وفي هذا العمل لا يبدو الكاتب يؤرخ للفكر ولصراع القيم، أو للقول والفعل، والنقد بل "إننا، هنا وفي المعانية للمجتمع والفضيلة والشخصية، نقوم بدور القاضي ... وفي مطلق الأحوال، إننا نلعب دور الطبيب النفسي، دور المحلل والمعالج، المفسر معاً والمغيِّر فقراءتنا عيادية .. تُشخص الحال، وترسم المآل؛ وذلك ضمن متلازمةٍ تفاعليةٍ ... ".
ما يريده الكاتب بل الأهم عنده هو استثارة الفكر التحليلي، والتأسيس على منطق البحث في الثورة المعرفية القائمة، وخلق التكييف الإيجابي إن في الطبيعة أو الجسد أو المادة، وكذلك في الثقافة والفكر.
