أكثر النصوص الصوفية الشهيرة تتناول جملة من القضايا اعتاد القارئ العربي على مطالعتها عن تصور الصوفية لله ورؤيتهم للعالم وخواطرهم حول الكتاب المبين، لكن هذا الكتاب يتميّز بتجسيده لتجربة ذاتية لصوفيّ كتب باللغتين العربية والفارسية، وفسّر القرآن الكريم ملتفتاً إلى جواهر الكَلِم ونافذاً إلى أعماق النصّ، كتب الديلمي عن دلائل النبوة، وإصلاح الأخلاق، وشرح جزءاً من سر أنفاس الصوفية، ودوّن واقعاته ومخاطباته في القرن السادس الهجري.
أهملت أغلب هذه الأعمال وطواها النسيان رغم كتابة أرثر آربري Arthur Arberry عن الديلمي وأعماله، لذا سنحاول عبر سلسلة التراث الصوفي التي نعمل عليها أن نقدّم جملة من أعماله، وأول هذه الأعمال كتاب مهمات الواصلين من الصوفية والبالغين، وهو على قسمين، قسمٌ جعلناه لتحقيق النص، والقسم الآخر قدّم علاء ربيع ترجمة لما كُتب عن الديلمي في الدرس الغربي.
