إعداد هذا الكتاب كان بغرض جمع وتبسيط أسس أهم الفروع من الهندسة المعمارية وهي السلالم بجميع أنواعها. وهذا التبسيط يُيسّر على الدارس سبل الإلمام بأهم النظريات وأسس التصميم. وقد تم عرض الأمثلة المعمارية بجميع نماذج السلالم وكيفية تصميمها وعرض رسومات تفصيلية وإنشائية ونماذج معمارية منظورية للدراسة وتم تصميم بعض النماذج للسلالم من الناحية الإنشائية بإستخدام SAP 2000 مع شرح وافي لكيفية التصميم وعمل بعض القطاعات والتفاصيل الإنشائية.
