عندما بدأت ثورات الربيع العربي والتي لا زلنا فيها الى الآن، أخذت أفكر في أسبابها وكيف ثارت الشعوب على قاداتها، وكيف أن الملوك والقادة بيدهم الحياة الحقيقة التي يرجوها كل إنسان من عدل وأمن واستقرار وحرية، وبالمقابل أيضاً قد يكون بيد الملوك والقادة جحيم الإنسان وظلمه وقهره.
فما تمنيت حدوث الثورات أبداً في بلادنا العربية ولكن عندما يفقد الملك أو القائد سيطرته على الشعب والتي يكون هو المتسبب فيها بسوء إدارته، يصبح الشعب مثل البحر الهائج والاستقرار سفينة، لا تدري على أي مرسى يرسو أو متى سيهدأ البحر وتعود السكينة.
في هذا الكتاب (ملوك الدنيا) تطرقت إلى قصة أربعة ملوك وهم (النمرود و بختنصر و نبي الله سليمان و ذي القرنين)، ملكوا الدنيا بطرق مختلفة فالنمرود ملكها بجبروته وطغيانه وبختنصر ملكها بذكائه وقوته وعدله، ونبي الله سليمان ملكها بأمر من الله فوهب له الملك العظيم، فسخر له الإنس والجن والشياطين والحيوانات وأعطاه الحكمة فدانت له الدنيا وزانت بحكمه وعدله، أما ذي القرنين فملكها بالمعرفة والإيمان والعدل.
إن الملك العظيم لا يقاس بمساحة الأرض المملوكة، ولكن يقاس بالقدرة على الإدارة والسيطرة، فكل من ملك الدنيا ملكها بأربعة أمور هي (المال و السلطة و القوة و المعرفة)، فزوال أحد هذه الأمور يقلل من قيمة هذا الملك وبالذات في هذا الزمن.
