يستهل الكاتب السوري محمد سعيد عدنان أبو شعر مجموعته "دموع قلم" بموشور نصي تتقدم فيه الذات بهاجس الحلم واليقظة معاً: "يكتبني قلمي بإخلاص، ينثرني على الورق، تتطاير حوله الأحاسيس وتأخذ كل منها مكانها على زاوية من الصفحة، وتغتسل جميعها بإحياء اللحظة، فتراها حيناً صارمة في وضوح، وحيناً تراها ليّنة في رمز (...)". ومن هذا المفتتح ينطلق الكاتب لتأسيس حياة النص داخل حياته الشخصية، لتظل الكتابة أقوى من الزمن.
و"دموع قلم" كتبت لتكون أكثر من مجرد تجربة حياة يضعها أبو شعر بين يدي القارئ، بل هي أكثر من ذلك، (الهدف منها إلقاء مكنون النفس دون سرد تفاصيل الحدث).
تحت عنوان "قلم في قفص الاتهام" يقول الكاتب: "يعاتبون قلمي… يؤنِّبونه على سوء قيادته لكلماتي.. يدعون بأن هناك الكثير من الجمال لأكتب عنه… لأنسج منه حروفي.. وأغني على أنغامه مشاعري.. يتَّهمونه باغتيال الأمل بريشته السوداء متجرعاً نخب جريمته، بالسكر على أقداح الكآبة وصليلها يُجلْجلُ في كل حانةٍ للخوف، بالسهر معربداً مع التشاؤوم وضحكته المريرة تملأ قلوباً يستوطنها الحزن…".
يضم الكتاب مجموعة نصوص تقترب من فن المقالة حيناً، والشعر النثري والخاطرة حيناً أخرى جاءت تحت عناوين مختلفة نذكر منها: "قلت في الحياة"، "نظرة في العلاقات الاجتماعية"، "خطاب مع القمر"، "كانت أربعة"، هجرة السنونو"، "العابرون من حياتي"، "دمشق: أرجوحة الألم والأمل"، "عيد بلا روح" (…) الخ
