لم تكن "أجفان" العكاوية تتوقع أنها في ذلك اليوم سوف تكبر قبل أوانها، فجأة، وجدت أجفان نفسها تخوض تجربة أكبر من عمرها وزمنها، ومضطرة أن تقدم أجوبة عن اسئلة لا تتوقعها. لم تتوقع تلك الفتاة الشابة التي انهت امتحانات الثانوية للتو، حالمة بمستقبل واعد، أن تتحول الإلتفاتة الخاطفة والإبتسامة البريئة التي منحتها لذلك الفتى المزهو بالبذلة المبرقعة التي يرتديها، إلى بداية السير في درب لا تعرف نهايته!!. "أجفان عكا" هي رواية تفوض في الزمن الفلسطيني قبل النكبة (1948) تستعيد معها الروائية نضال رجالات عكا وأبطالها وأبرز الشخصيات البارزة والمشهود لها، في تاريخ النضال الفلسطيني، مثل حسني خليفة، وأحمد الشقيري، وعبد الرحمن المختار، وأحمد عبده، وعزت الجراح، وفارس سرحان وآخرون؛ وما رافق تلك الفترة من شؤون وشجون المدن الفلسطينية، وخاصة سقوط عكا بيد الإنكليز، ثم سقوط حيفا، مشاهد يندى لها الجبين تتحدث عنها الرواية "مشهد المقتلعين من حيفا الواصلين إلى عكَا..." مئات من الرجال والنساء والأطفال والشيوخ والعجائز، فاض البحر بالناس، وأخذ العكاويون الشرفاء بإيواء اخوانهم في المساجد، والمدارس، وحتى في الدور، أناس كانوا بالأمس يملكون بيوتاً لها أبواب تغلق عليهم، أصبحوا في العراء، وكما في كل نكبة يتوقع الإنسان العربي والفلسطيني خاصة أن المسألة أيام وينتهي كل شيء، ولكنه لا يعرف أن القادم هو التشرد والضياع، ما أشبه الأمس باليوم، سيل متدفق من النكبات تطال الفلسطيني من فلسطين إلى لبنان إلى سوريا، لا عكا بقيت عكا، ولا النكبة، نكبة فلسطين وحدها، هي نكبة أمة، والقادم أعظم...
