كتاب "فن الراديو" عبارة عن دراسة شاملة لهندسة الراديو من الألف إلى الياء، هدفه المساعدة على خلق فني راديو ممتاز. والمنهج كله يعتمد بشكل خاص على الخبرات أعمال الراديو. وعلى ذلك نجد أن الأسس النظرية تعالج وتشرح بطريقة مباشرة يفهمها أي شخص عنده ميل للمسائل الفنية.
ويقع الكتاب في 18 باباً مقسمة إلى 155 فصلاً، وبه دراسة وافية مسلسلة عن مبادئ الكهربا والراديو من أول الإلكترون حتى السوبرعت. ويعطي الكتاب فكرة واضحة عن أجهزة الراديو الحديثة، وكيفية ضبط الراديو باستخدام أجهزة القياس. زد على ذلك أن الكتاب يحتوي على ملاحظات مفيدة عن التركيبات وتحديد وتصليح أغلب الأعطال الشائعة. كما أعطيت عناية خاصة لما تحتاجه ورشة تصليح الراديو (مركز الخدمة) من معدات وتجهيزات وعدة.
وبغرض التسهيل على الدارس، تم تلخيص النقط الرئيسية التي عولجت في نهاية كل باب. ولأهمية التمارين كوسيلة لاختبار المعلومات، تضمن كل باب عدة أسئلة. وفي نهاية الكتاب توجد تعليمات عن الأمن النصاعى في ورش تصليح الراديو، كما يوجد قاموس شامل للمصطلحات الفنية والرموز والوحدات.
