تعد بطارية اختيارات الإرشاد النفسي التي جرى تعبيرها على طلبة وطالبات المدارس الثانوية والجامعات في المملكة العربية السعودية وسيلة علمية يستخدمها المرشدون النفسيون في العيادات النفسية والمرشدون الطلابيون في المدارس الثانوية والجامعات لمساعدة الطلاب في التعرف على المشكلات النفسية المتعلقة بشخصياتهم وذلك للحصول على معلومات عن بنائهم النفسي وما يتميزون به عن بعضهم البعض من سمات الشخصية والتعرف على حاجاتهم ومشكلاتهم التي تحتاج إلى رعاية وتوجيه وإرشاد بغية معاونتهم ومساعدتهم على وضع خططهم في المستقبل على ضوء فهمهم لذاتهم وتكوينهم الشخصي وتبصيرهم بمشكلاتهم وحلها ليصل بهم إلى تحقيق أهدافهم وتحقيق الصحة والسعادة النفسية.
