المواطن كين، فيلم أمريكي يعتمد في مادته على حياته الإحتكاري وليام راندولف هيرست في عالم الصحافة، أنتج الفيلم في عام 1941؛ ويلعب أورسون ويلز في هذا الفيلم، الحائز الجائزة الأكاديمية، دور البطولة.
وويلز شاب دينامي يمثل دور تشارلز فوستر كين الذي ينهض من أعماق الفقر إلى ذرى المجد، والثروة، بالعمل في دنيا الصحافة عبر اللجوء إلى إستعمال الوسائل المجردة من الضمير.
ولكن لم يكن ذلك بدون ثمن، فقد امتدت نتائج مساعي كين إلى السلطة إلى حياته الشخصية، حيث خسر زوجتيه وأصدقاءه.
يعتبر النقاد فيلم المواطن كين من الأفلام العظيمة من جهة سرد القصة، والكاميرا المبدعة للمصوّر جريك تولاند، سجل الفيلم في لائحة حفظ الأفلام الوطنية في عام 1989.
