"الإسلام نشوؤه وارتقاؤه" هو كتاب ضم مجموعة من المحاضرات كان العلاّمة المظفر-رحمه الله-قد ألقاها على طلاب (كلية الفقه) إحدى كليات "جمعية منتدى النشر" في النجف الأشرف يوم أن كانت الكلية في بدء تأسيسها. وقد هدف المؤلف من محاضراته هذه استعراض خلاصة التاريخ الإسلامي من حيث نشوؤه وارتقاؤه وذلك على ضوء سيرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في أدوار حياته، وعما اشتملت عليه أقواله وأفعاله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وما نطق به القرآن الكريم المنزل عليه هدى للعالمين من دروس وعظات، فجاء الكتاب دروس في العقيدة الإسلامية وعظات في سلوك الفرد والجماعات، تناول فيه المؤلف ما تناوله بإيجاز في سرد الحوادث، وبعناية خاصة باستخلاص العبرة وانتزاع السيرة.
