هذا الكتاب هو تاريخ ملوك وحكام وأمراء الأحساء عبر التاريخ، جمعه المؤلف من مصادر وكتب متعددة وموثقة، وهو الأول من نوعه وتخصصه، حيث كانت لهؤلاء الرجال الريادة في ميادين الحكم وتدبير الأمور وتدبير شؤون الدولة.
حاول المؤلف جمع إنجازات هؤلاء الحكام في كتاب موجز يوضح فيه نسب وسيرة كل حاكم، ولو بصورة مبسطة في بعض الأحيان، وبصورة مسهبة في أحيان أخرى، وذلك حسب شخصية كل حاكم والدور الذي لعبته هذه الشخصية.
والقصد من إصدار هذا الكتاب هو تقديم ملوك وحكام وأمراء، خلال فترة (4000 ق.م. 1426هـ) بأسلوب سهل وموجز وبصورة سريعة لما للوقت من أهمية في هذا الزمان وبطريقة متسلسلة منذ عهد مملكة نبي الله عاد عليه السلام فدولة معين وحكومة سبأ مروراً بعهد ما قيل الإسلام وبعده فالدولة الأموية والعباسية، فالقرامطة والعيونيون فدولة بني جبر، وآل حميد (بني خالد)، فالعثمانيين، فالدولة السعودية الأولى والثانية والثالثة التي أرست قواعدها، ونشرت الأمن والأمان والإستقرار إلى يومنا هذا.
