- باب الشعر العربي المعاصر.
- باب الشعر العربي القديم.
- باب شعر الحضارات القديمة.
- باب الشعر العالمي المعاصر.
وفي كل باب من هذه الأبواب عدة دراسات، عدا باب شعر الحضارات القديمة، ففيه دراستان فقط، وقد حاول المؤلف في كل ذلك أن يكون ثريده في الصحن نفسه، وليس إلى جانبه، كما هو شأن الكثير من كتاباتنا النقدية.
وعسى أن يكون كتابه هذا إسهامة مفيدة في حقل دراساتنا الشعرية والنقدية.
