"تاركاً نفسي المطمئنة أن تطمئن عليَّ، وأن تقتفي تعباً غائراً في طحيني، فليس يشك يقيني، بأن طوافي ما كان إلا إلي، وإلي تتوب العصافير عن لهوها، وتؤوب إلى سابق العهد، مسحورة بالمواويل، مسحورة بالنهاوند، إذ يتساقط فوق شموع الليالي".
