يقوم على فتح دروب آمنه للتسامح والتعايش والإعتراف بحق المختلف بالعيش وحقه في الإختلاف والتذكر لهويته الخاصة وتراثه في ظل فضاء عمومي آمن ومتسامح، لأن العنف بوصفه الخيار والطرح المرفوضان يبقى سلوكاً عدوانيّاً موجَّه صوب المختلف بقصد إيذائه، وقد يكون هذا العنف مادياً أو معنوياً أو ثقافياً، وقد يكون مادياً فردياً حين يكون بلا دافع ثقافي بل نوازع عدوانية تدفع الفرد إلى إيذاء الآخرين وتبرير هذا يكون بفعل الميل العدواني تجاه الآخر المختلف، ويكون ثقافياً معنوياً عبر التصفية الجسدية والمعنوية، فهذا الدافع يقوم على إحتكار المعنى الغيبي وتأميمه ومن ثم التحدث بإسمه بوصفه الحق المطلق فالمخالف كافر، أو فاسق أو مهرطق.
هذا الكتاب كتب بشكل أجزاء متفرقة، ومن أجل غايات متباينة، ولكنه يحاول في مجمله مناقشة الراهن من عنف معنوي ديني يحاول توظيف الماضي بكل أسطورية من أجل الهيمنة على الحاضر بقراءات أيديولوجية تهدف إلى فرض قراءتها للماضي على الآخرين.
ويبدو أن سلطة القارئ تلعب دوراً أساسيّاً من أجل رسم أفق مستقبلي من خلال القراءة التي تحاول إعادة فهم النص ضمن حدود القارئ ورهاناته، وبهذا نحن نحاول تجاوز التصعيد الذي تفترضه القراءات الأيديولوجية التي تتمركز حول معنى مسبق تحاول إسقاطه على النص وإستنطاقه.
ومن الأمثلة البارزة في مضمار هذا الكتاب التي نخوض فيها بين نص التوراة والقراءات المتنوعة التي تريد توظيف التوراة من أجل توظيف المعنى لإسباغ الشرعية على المحتل للأرض عبر إدعاء الوعد الذي ترويه السرديات اليهودية والمسيحية من بعدها عن حق اليهود في فلسطين.
