يحتوي هذا الكتيب على قسمين، تحدث القسم الأول عن حياة رابعة العدوية وأخبارها وأقوالها الصوفية ورأي العلماء فيها, وتطرق لمقومات التصوف عندها والتي هي: مقام الرضا, مقام المراقبة, مقام المحبة. إلى جانب هذا توقف هذا القسم عند زهد رابعة مصوراً الأفق الروحاني الذي عاشت فيه, وتجليات الحب عندها.
أما القسم الثاني من هذا الكتيب فتضمن نص ديوان رابعة مقسماً بحسب القوافي إبتداءاً من قافية الباء, ثم التاء, والدال, ثم العين فالكاف وأخيراً اللام.
