يمثل السلام العادل والشامل أحد أبرز الأهداف السامية والنبيلة للسياسة السورية الحكيمة التي أسس لها، وأرسى قواعدها الثابتة الرئيس حافظ الأسد والتي ما أنفك الرئيس بشار الأسد يعمل جاهداً لتحقيقه على أساس الشمولية والعدل، وإسترجاع الحقوق والأراضي العربية المحتلة، ومنها الجولان العربي السوري المحتل إلى خط الرابع من حزيران من العام 1967، تنفيذاً لقرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة.
وهذا الكتاب يأتي في إطار محاولة صحفية توثيقية للكاتب لتسليط الضوء على بعض ملامح الإستراتيجية السورية الثابتة والمبدئية لتحقيق السلام المنشود في الشرق الأوسط، ويتطرق الكتاب إلى ثوابت السلام وماهيته بالنسبة للإستراتيجية السورية، وإلى أبرز السمات والخصائص الرئيسية لهذه الإستراتيجية، بالإضافة إلى محاولته إبراز بعض النقاط والجوانب الرئيسية التي تحدث عنها السيد بشار الأسد، في إطار دعوات سيادته المتكررة إلى إجراءات عملية وناجعة لتحقيق السلام العادل والشامل.
كما ويتضمن الكتاب بعض الشهادات الحية على لسان كبار القادة ورجال الفكر والقلم حول العالم، والتي تعبر عن الإعجاب والتقدير بإستراتيجية ونهج السلام العادل والشامل للسياسة السورية، وبرجل السلام حافظ الأسد.
ومن اللافت أيضاً تضمين الكتاب لنتائج عملية لأطروحة الدكتوراه التي يقدم بها المؤلف تحت عنوان "عملية السلام في الشرق الأوسط: تحليل لغوي"، والتي تبين بأن خطاب السوري يتقدم على خطاب كل الأطراف المشاركة في العملية السلمية، من حيث الإلتزام بالعملية السلمية وأهدافها الموضوعة لها، في تأكيد علمي وبإعتراف غربي بأن تطبيق إستراتيجية السلام السورية يعتبر المفتاح والأساس لتحقيق سلام الشرق الأوسط العادل والشامل.
