قاسم عزاوي: ولد في مدينة دير الزور عام 1947, تخرج من كلية الطب في جامعة دمشق عام 1972, أخصائي بطب العيون وجراحتها من جامعات برلين في ألمانيا 1977, رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية العاديات بدير الزور, باحث في التراث وعضو الجمعية السورية لتاريخ العلوم عند العرب. أهم أعماله: ثلاثة مواويل للخرفان المبللة, ملحمة الشبوط الرومي.
