في اللافتة الشعرية الأولى التي تستهل بها الشاعرة هيفاء الجبري مجموعتها الشعرية "تداعى له سائرُ القلب" والتي تتمظهر كبنية إهداء تعلن الشاعرة عن حالة أنثوية قائمة " إلى ذاتي ... / السارحة في الوجودْ / ابتغاءَ صوتٍ غير ذي أجل / سموهُ قديماً: "شعراً". هذا الإلتحام بين الشاعرة وشعرها، لا يكون القارىء شاهداً عليه فقط، بل معنياً أيضاً، ولكما توغل في النص، يكتشف أسراراً مضاعفة تتعلق بتحولات الإهداء ذاته، تلك التي تتكون منها ثيمات النص المتعددة، الحياة مقابل الموت، والحركة مقابل ذاته، تلك التي تتكون منها ثيمات النص المتعددة، الحياة مقابل الموت، والحركة مقابل السكون، والضوء مقابل الظلمة. هذه الثنائيات هي ما تشكل عناصر قوة، تكسب النص الشعري جدليته ووجوده وجماله.
في القصيدة المعنونة (وبينهما شاعرة) تقول هيفاء الجبري:
"تغتابُ الظلمةُ ضوءُ الشمعةْ / فالضوء كثيراً ما يرهقُ عينيها / قالت لي: "قُصّيهْ" فبصُرتُ بما لم تبصرْ / قلت لها: "إن الشمعة تقرؤكِ الحبّ ... / ... فلتلمسي قبلباً / ثمة شاعرة تحت الضوءْ / تكتبُ للظلمةِ آناءَ القلبْ / ما شاءَ الحبُ وأسراراً من حلمٍ لازبْ / حتى ينتاب الظلمة مغزى الضوء / تظلُّ تراودُ معناها عن نفسهْ / شاعرةٌ آلتْ للحبْ / لتؤاخيَ بين الظلمةِ والشمعة".
يضم الكتاب ما يزيد عن الأربعين قصيدة تنوعت بين الشعر العربي الحديث، وشعر التفعيلة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "يعود للصف" ، "غُربة" ، "كالحمامة" ، "امرأة مفقودة" ، "دمشق" ، "شعر المبكى" ، "تحريف!" ، "آناءَ العين" ، "نسوةٌ للعقوبة" ، "لجوءٌ" ، "الحبُ والصمتُ والصحراءْ" ، "خدعة!" ، "تحرير" ، "أمومة" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
