العنف الذي يتم الحديث عنه في هذا البحث حالة مرضية مرفوضة في نظر الإسلام فلا مجال في الرؤية الإسلامية ومنظومة القيم الإنسانية لهذه الشريعة أي شكل من الأشكال التي تتفق وطبيعة الإنسان وسجيته وفطرته. وبما أنه لا بد أن يعيش مع أخيه الإنسان على وجه هذه الأرض لا بد أن يرفض كل ما يعكر صفو حياته وهدوئه وأمنه واطمئنانه.
فالعنف الذي نتحدث عنه حالة مرضية مرفوضة عنه الشرائع السماوية والأقوام والملل السابقة فما هو إلا وسيلة العاجز الذي يفتقد المنطق والحوار وليست له قدرة على الإقناع والمواجهة الهادئة فيلجأ إلى هذا الأسلوب المقيت فيتصور أنه قضى على خصمه وحل مشكلته.
والإرهاب اليوم في العالم ما هو إلا صورة من صور العنف الذي أودي بحياة الكثير من الأبرياء فكانت ضحيته أطفال وأيتام ونساء أرامل وعوائل بلا معيل وكفيل، وما هذا الكتيب الصغير إلا محاولة متواضعة لإلقاء الضوء على هذه الظاهرة المرضية ومعرفتها وبيان موقف الإسلام منها.
