في هذا الكتاب أحاديث عن سيدة واحدة، وعدة رجال، وفيه كذلك ذكر لأماكن محفورة في الذاكرة، فأما البشر فهم أناس حقيقيّون عرفتهم - إمّا عن قرب أو بعد - إلا واحداً، بعضهم صرّحتُ بإسمه، وآخرون لم أجد ضرورة في ذلك، وكلهم إما أنني تأثّرت بهم قليلاً أو كثيراً، وربما أثّرتُ في بعضهم قليلاً، أو ربما لم أؤثر.
وبين التلقّي منهم، والعطاء مني؛ منظومة من الحب، أو الحذر، أو الإعجاب، أو التأمّل، وليس بيني وبين أي واحد منهم أي مقدار لبغض، أو إحتقار، أو حسد، أو عداوة.
أما الأماكن فهي واضحة بأسمائها، وهي مثل الذين عرفتُ من الأشخاص، تأثرتُ بها إما قليلاً أو كثيراً، ولا أظن أبداً أنن أثرتُ فيها قليلاً أو كثيراً، ولكنها بكل تأكيد أثّرت في نفسي، وأثرتُ وجداني، وتفكيري، وذاكرتي.
