يضمّ هذا الكتاب مجموعة من المقالات المختلفة في قضايا أدبية ونقدية وثقافية، وقد نشرتها - على مدى سنوات - في عدد من الصحف والمجلات الصادرة في كل من دمشق والإمارات العربية المتحدة والسعودية.
وقد تناولت فيها طائفة من القضايا المعاصرة الساخنة المطروحة في الساحة الثقافية العربية، ثم رغب إليّ بعض الأصدقاء - ممن حسنّوا الظنّ فيها - أن ألّم شملها في كتاب، على نحو ما فعلتُ في كتابي "من صيد الخاطر" الذي جمعت فيه ما نشرته في مجلة الصدى الإماراتية في زاوية أسبوعية كنت أكتبها تحت هذا العنوان، وهو "من صيد الخاطر".
