أحياناً كنت أستغل الفرصة وأنا أتعامل مع السجان المدني أو السجان العسكري لأتحدث معه ولو بضع دقائق لأشعر بأن لساني ما زال ينطق.
أتذكر مرة سماع أصوات تشجيعية عرفت من نبرتها أنها تخص مباراة كرة قدم، ولما حان الوقت للتحدث مع ذلك الشاب العسكري فقد انتهزت الفرصة لأتحدث عن المباراة، والتي كانت للسلطنة مع إحدى الدول الآسيوية فقد تنفست قليلاً الصعداء معه، فهو الآخر تجده يؤدي واجبه على أكمل وجه لكنه أيضاً إنسان ويشعر بالملل كونه يقبع في غرفة المراقبة دون وجود ما يفعله إلا القليل...
