قد كتبت هذه الرسالة، لفئة من الإخوة العائدين إلى الله تعالى، التائبين مما وقعوا فيه من إدمان المخدرات، حيث كانوا أكثر عرضة للكذب من غيرهم، بل كانوا يعرضون أبائهم وأهليهم للكذب بسبب التعاطي، وهاهم يسعون بكل جهدهم، إلى التخلص مما سببه التعاطي لهم من سلوكيات غير طيبة، إلى إكتساب الأخلاق الحميدة، والتي منها الأخذ بقوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "عليكم بالصدق فإن الصدق يهدي إلى البر والبر يهدي إلى الجنة" وليست الرسالة قاصرة عليهم بل فيها النفع لكل إنسان يريد مرضاة ربه.
حيث أن الكذب من الأمراض الظاهرية المحسوسة في حياة الإنسان، والتي تعتبر بالنسبة للمسلم ذنوباً، يجب التخلص منها مهما كلفه ذلك من جهد ومشقة، حيث إن آثارها الضارة مزدوجة، بمعنى أنها تضر المريض بها وتضر غيره من أفراد المجتمع، فهي ذنوب وأمراض معدية، وهي أشبه بالميكروب الذي يعدي وينتقل من إنسان إلى آخر ليفتك به، ولذلك يحتاج عناية أكبر ومجهوداً مضاعفاً للقضاء عليه.
