وفي عمله هذا يتناول الشاعر قضية الوطن والدم الذي يحميه، ثم يغوص في الوجداني الذاتي، والعام الإنساني، ومفردات هي من قاموس آخر وعالم آخر وتجارب إنسانية شتى...
من قصيدة بعنوان (حوار مع الوهم) نختار بعض الأبيات وفيها يقول: "أترى أقتاتُ منه؟!.../ أم تُرى يقتات مني؟!../ أم كلانا في هضم الوهن../ يلهو ويغني؟!../ تأكل الخيبة منه؟!../ تأكل الخيبة مني؟!../ أم هو اللغز الذي شوَّه../ أحلام محبتي..".
يضم الديوان إحدى وعشرون قصيدة تراوحت بين الشعر العصري الحديث وشعر التفعيلة المقفن، نذكر من عناوينها: "كوابيس"، "عائد من قبره" "حوار مع الوهم" "رضوان"، "تاريخ الشهيد"، "السيد القائد عماد مغنية"... الخ
