هدفت الدِّراسة إلى استقصاء علاقة مستوى تعليم المرأة الأردنية بنمط تنشئتِها لأبنائها في ثلاثة أشكال من الأُسر الأردنية، وأثر ذلك على التحصيل ومفهوم الذات لدى الأبناء. وبعد تطبيق أدوات جمع البيانات على عيِّنة الدِّراسة، أظهرت النتائج أن: مستوى تعليم المرأة كان عاملاً حاسماً وذا دلالة إحصائية في مستوى تحصيل الأبناء ومفهوم الذات لديهم.وأن نمط التنشئة الديمقراطي يرفع درجة كل بعد من أبعاد مفهوم الذات عند الأبناء وخاصة، وأنّ شكل الأسرة له تأثير مباشر على مستوى حصيل الطالب.وأنّ مفهوم الذات لدى الأبناء يختلف باختلاف شكل الأسرة . ومن خلال النتائج التي توصَّلت إليها الدراسة، تُوصي الباحثة بإجراء المزيد من الدِّراسات حول الأسر التي يضطرُّ فيها الأب للهجرة بسبب العمل أو التعليم وتأثيرها على سلوك الأبناء الاجتماعي والنَّفسي. إضافة إلى عقد عدد من الدورات للمعلمين وتدريبهم على مهارات الاتصال مع الطلبة الذين يعانون من غياب الأب أو الأم في الأسرة.
