يعد الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا من أروع الكتب العلمية المختصرة التي تحاول أن توقظ الأمة من سباتها، وقد نال من الشهرة والإقبال ما دفع المهتمين إلى طبعه مراراً وتكراراً، وذلك لأن مؤلفه السيد صادق الحسيني الشيرازي قد استخدم فيه أسلوباً حوارياً جذاباً اعتمد فيه على منهجية مخاطبة الجميع بلغة الجميع، من دون تكلف أو تصنع يشعر القارئ بالملل، مع التركيز على الحقيقة العلمية والبرهان الاستدلالي فيه.
ورغم كونه -أي الكتاب- قد دون منذ ما يزيد على ثلاثين سنة، عندما كان المؤلف في كربلاء المقدسة، إلا أن بحوثه الحوارية مازالت حية ومطلوبة من قبل المجتمع. ولذا فإن شعبه النشر في هيئة خدام المهدي عليه السلام، قد اهتمت بالاعتناء بإعادة ترتيبه وإخراجه وطبعه ونشره.
ورغبة من الشعبة في تتميم الفائدة، فإنها قد ألحقت بالكتاب حزمة من الحوارات الإضافية حول قضايا أخرى ما زالت في دائرة الشبهات عند غير الشيعة. كما أنها قد أضافت في مقدمته ثلاث توطئات رأت ضرورة إدراجها، وهي عبارة عن خطابات وكلمات توجيهية ألقاها سماحة الإمام المؤلف أخيراً، وفيها كثير من العبر والدروس والمفاهيم والتوصيات التي تتعلق بنشر التشيع في العالم و هداية البشرية إليه.
وفي خاتمة الكتاب جاءت تعريفات ببعض الكتب المهمة حول الشيعة والتشيع، والحوارات الصحافية القيمة مع علماء وشخصيات المذهب السني.
