تم كتابة هذا الكتاب ايماناً بقدرة الطفل على التعلم، وإذا آمنا بهذا فعلينا بذل أقصى جهودنا للارتقاء بمستوى الطفل الفكري، وإثارة تفكيره ومساعدته على الابداع وتطوير مفاهيمه. وقد تم تقسيم الكتاب إلى ثلاثة أجزاء، خصص الجزء الأول منه للقواعد العربية التي تناسب الفئة العمرية من السابعة إلى العاشرة فما فوق، وقد حاولت المؤلفة تبسيطها حتى تصل إلى الطالب بشكل سهل محبب، ووضعت نص على كل قاعدة، وتمارين متنوعة، راعت فيها مستويات التفكير المختلفة. أما الجزء الثاني، فقد خصص للقصص المشوقة، تناولت فيه المؤلفة موضوعات تهم الطفل، وهي جزء من مشاكله اليومية، في محاولة لايصال الفكرة الصحيحة لهم بشكل ممتع، وأُتبعت كل قصة بتطبيق مختلف للتحقق من مستوى الفهم وإثارة مهارات التفكير العليا لديهم ومساعدتهم على امتلاك القدرة على التعبير، وليكون للمعلمين والآباء والأمهات أكثر من خيار لمناقشة المواضيع مع الأطفال. أما الجزء الثالث والأخير فهو عبارة عن قصص مفتوحة، تُرك فيها المجال لتفكير الطفل حتى يحاول ايجاد الحلول واتخاذ القرارات، وذلك بايجاد إجابة للأسئلة المطروحة ومحاولة إكمال القصة ووضع عنوان مناسب لها ورسمها كما يتخيلها.
