هذا الديوان يتناول موضوعات الغربة والوطن ومعظم هذه القصائد عاشها المؤلف وعايشها. كما ضمنه المؤلف بعض القصائد في الغزل مع مراعاة معظم الأذواق, وقد كتب القصيدة والزهيري والموال والدارمي بالترتيب, وقد خصص فصلاً لكل نوع من هذه الباقة من الشعر الشعبي العراقي. وكان من أهم ما تناوله من مواضيع: نسمه, آه وصرخة, المشراكة, اليتيم, حب شرعي, حزام العاكول, حصاد المنخل, حلم مهموم, الصرخة, ساعة فكر, سالفة أمي, سالوفة فجر, عتاب الكمر, مولد الخير, عشت بحلم, طبيب الروح, فصل الزهيري أو الموال, فصل الأبوذية, فصل الدارمي.
خضير الرميثي: ولد في العراق في قضاء الرميثة, كتب الشعر منذ نعومة أظافره, اهتم شعره بالوطن والغربة ومحنة الإنسان والعربي, والعراقي بشكل خاص. عضو في الأرشيف العراقي في الدنمارك, عضو مؤسس في مؤسسة القائم (عج) لكفالة اليتيم العراقي, مصور ومنتج ومخرج أفلام وثائقية. خرج من العراق سنة 1991م وعاد إليه سنة 2003م.
