تقول في (مشاهد من بين الأحزان) تخاطب المرأة العربية "... ها أنت، قابضة على دمائك تخطرين في نجاح الأيام، تجمعين أطفالك، تغسلين رؤوسهم، تمشطينها وتسربلينهم جديد الثياب، تهيئين القوت فثمة سغب مرتقب، تكنسين الدار، رجالك قابعة في زاويتها تنتظر كفك المتشققة، الحصر مدحوة كقلبك.. الأعين مصلوبة على ثمالتك ..".
