وتحقيقاً للأهداف سالفة الذكر فإن هذا الكتاب يتألف من أحد عشر دراسة تلقي الضوء على السياسة الجغرافية لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي عامة ودولة قطر بخاصة.
تخطى هذا الكتاب الأسلوب التقليدي في معالجة كل من مفهومي الجغرافيا السياسية والجيوبوليتكا ، ذلك أنه أجرى دراسات تطبيقية على دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي مركزاً على السياسات الجغرافية لها بشكل عام ولدولة قطر بشكل خاص، وتوسع في دراسته ليتطرق إلى الشرق أوسطية والسياسة الجغرافية لتركيا، موضحاً الدور المهم الذي يلعبه ولاة الأمر في دول الخليج العربي والمناهج التي يتبعونها في إدارة دولهم وتقدمها، وقام بتحليل مقومات الوحدة بين دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، كما ركز الكتاب على المشكلة السكانية لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وأبعادها السياسية والعسكرية والاقتصادية، مقيّماً الموارد الاقتصادية لها وموضحاً أبعادها السياسية.
