أراد كامل الهاشمي من خلال هذه المخططات والأوراق الفلسفية، أن يقدم للقارئ صورة مختصرة وواضحة عن مباحث الفلسفة الإسلامية في تجلياتها المختلفة، وعلى ضوء النظرية التي تبنتها هذه الفلسفة بشأن الوجود والله والإنسان والعالم، فما حملته الفلسفة الإسلامية طوال عهدها من معارف وتصورات حول حقائق الوجود، يمثل ثروة معرفية كبيرة وغنية لم تعكس لحد اليوم في تراثنا المعرفي والفكري بشكل عام.
وربما كان من مظاهر الحيف والجور الذي لاقته هذه الفلسفة، أنها صورت كمجرد فلسفة غيبية لاهوتية لا تعني إلا بالبحث عن الحقائق الغيبية غير المنظورة وغير المحسوسة، وفي واقع الأمر إن مثل هذا التصور كان مجانباً للصواب أشد المجانبة، ففي الفلسفة الإسلامية نجد غنى وتنوعاً كبيرين، يتسعان ليشملا كل مناحي الوجود وأبعاده.
وانطلاقاً من ذلك سيلاحظ القارئ، أن المؤلف قد حاول أن يستوعب المخططات والرسوم التي حواها هذا الكتاب شؤوناً وقضايا حياتية تمت إلى الدرس الفلسفي بمعناه الأعم، والذي يشمل الله والإنسان والآخرة، وهي الثلاثية التي تنتظم تحتها كل مفردات الوجود كما أن القارئ سيلاحظ أن المؤلف لم يقصر البحث في أي مخطط من المخططات، أو في أية ورقة من الأوراق على بعد منفرد من أبعاد الوجود، وذلك لأنه حاول أن يعيش الوضوح في فكرته عن الحقيقة الوجودية، ويسعى بكل جد للتعامل معها كما هي، من دون أن يفرض على هذه الحقيقة تصوراته المعرفية وتقصيراته العلمية.
ولأجل ذلك نعتقد أن هذه الأوراق الفلسفية وما حملته من أفكار وتصورات، ستمنح لقارئها قدرة أكبر على تفهم وإدراك الكثير من مطالب الفلسفة، كما صيغت في المسار الفلسفي الإسلامي وعلى يد مجموعة كبيرة من الفلاسفة أمثال الكندي، والفارابي، وابن سينا، وصدر المتألهين، وغيرهم من فلاسفة الإسلام.
