Il y a tout interet a devoiler cette zone d'ombre et a decloisonner, enfin, l'apport de la langue arabe au francais. Du moins, il est capital, d'un point de vue d'honnetete intellectuelle, de denocer la conception mentale retrograde qui regne tout autant chez les historiens que shez les liguistes et les gemanticiens. Car, pour ces derniers, le contenu linguistique du francais, fut-ce un lexeme, est systematiquement assimile au concept de l'heritage greco-romain, alors que la langue arabe y a joue un role preponderant.
