"غاية المقصود في المقصور والممدود" نصّ ينشر أوّل مرة لعملاقين من عمالقة اللغة العربية، ناظم النص الشعري هو "أبو بكر محمد بن الحسن بن دريد الأزدي"، وشارحه "أبو بكر محمد بن القاسم بن بشار الأنباري" ويعتقد أن هذا النص هو من أقدم النصوص في موضوعه ليس يسبقه غير نص الفرّاء. ولأهمية هذا النص عني بتحقيقه وبتذييله بمجموعة من الفهارس الفنية المعدّة من قبل الاختصاصي "حسن عريبي الخالدي" وهذه الفهارس هي: فهرس الآيات القرآنية الكريمة، فهرس الكتب والمجلات، فهرس ألفاظ المقصور والممدود، فهرس أسماء المواضع والأمكنة والبلدان، فهرس الشعر، فهرس دور النشر والمطابع، فهرس أسماء الأعلام والجماعات.
