عندما نقرأ التراث الأدبي اللبناني العريق، فلا بد أن يكون للزجل مكان ما بين السطور، فكيف إذا كان الشاعر " موسى زغيب" هو من يكتب ويصدح بفكره العميق وخياله الخلاّق، وصوته الشجي وبلاغة في التعبير بقصائد غنية بمدلولاتها الإنسانية. لقد ابدع شاعرنا في جميع مناحي التجربة الإنسانية المعيشة لبلاده وكيف لا وهو إبن حراجل الريف اللبناني حيث الماء والضياء، ورائحة التراب الندية. لقد كتب وغنى للكل: للوطن وللمرأة وللطبيعة، للطواحين والورد والفل والقرميد والعصافير، غنى للبيادر والغلال والشراويل والعبي وللزنود السمر.
"مبارح وبكرا" قصائد كُتبت بحس إنساني أصيل، يجسّد الأصالة والتراث بكل ما للكلمة من معنى، يقسمه شاعرنا إلى قسمين: القسم الأول جاء بعنوان: (ألوان ولمحات من الرثاء قيلت في مناسبات خاصة وعامة) وتضم (55) قصيدة، أما القسم الثاني فجاء بعنوان: (آراء ومشاهد متنوعة) ويضم (42) قصيدة.
ومن شذرات الزجل اللبناني الأصيل نقتبس قصيدة له بعنوان (ضيعتي) قالها بعد عودته من جولة إغترابية طويلة.
"شاعر إلي مع ضيعتي مواعيد / الفيها أسامي ولادها تسمّو ، وكل ما غبت مشوار بالتحديد / صوب السّفر وتحمّلت همّو ، برجع لحضن حراجل من جديد / بوس الحجر ... وترابها ضمّو ، مثل الولد يلّلي بيكون بعيد / وبيرجعوه على حضن أمّو".
