يجمع كتاب "قناطر الخيرات" للإمام "إسماعيل بن موسى الجيطالي النفوسي" بين طياته الكثير من الآيات والأحاديث والآثار التي تربي النفس على تصويب النظرة إلى الحياة الدنيا وبيان أنها فانية لا محالة. وهو كتاب نفيس لما فيه، وإن كان مؤلفه سطر أغلب الآيات والأحاديث فيه من حفظه وذاكرته فخانته أحياناً كثيرة. ونلحظ ذلك في الآيات التي ساقها في متن الكتاب. أما الأحاديث: فأدخل الشيخ كلامه مع متن الحديث فساق الحديث وكأنه بمعناه أو شرحاً له مع نسبة ذلك للنبي. لذا راعى المحقق تصويب ما استطاع تصويبه وما بدا له بهذه الحالة كما وعنى أيضاً بذكر بعض أطراف الحديث؛ وبضبط الآيات القرآنية بالشكل هذا وقد قسّم المؤلف كتابه إلى عدة قناطر كل قنطرة لعدة أبواب وقد تحتوي الأبواب على عدة فصول، كما أن الكتاب احتوى على كثير من الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية والآثار والحكايات التي تخدم مواضيع الكتاب، كما أخذ عديداً من فصول وأبواب كتاب الإمام الغزالي إحياء علوم الدين بالنصر ولم يتصرف فيها المؤلف إلا في أحيان كثيرة.
